Pedro Usabiaga is born in San Sebastián (Spain) in 1959. He is one of the most importants photographers of the spanish industry. He studied in the French School of San Sebastián, Sagrado Corazón, and La Salle. He started superior studies of "Imagen y sonido" in Madrid, in the Complutense University, that left to dedicate himself to the photography. In the heat of "movida madrileña" collaborates with the famous magazines: LA LUNA DE MADRID. Man and famous magazines like Dunia, Complice, Elle, Vogue, etc. At the end of 80' s decade publishes portfolios in Arte Fotográfico, La Fotografía, as well as in europeans magazines.

In 1989 he receives by the snapshot including in the cd of the musical group LA UNION, "Vivir al este del Edén", the most important prize in black and white, in the International Festival of the Photo de Mode, in Deauville (France) considered as an Oscar of the photographers. This prize opens him the doors of the industry of American cinema with his famous pictures of the actors and actresses Brad Pitt, Sharon Stone, Julia Roberts, Tom Cruise, Will Smith, Willen Dafoe, Penélope Cruz, Maribel Verdú, Eduardo Noriega, Julliette Binoche, Emmanuelle Beart...

From that moment he collaborates with magazines and newspapers like: La Vanguardia, El País Dominical, Cosmopolitan... He also works in Paris with designers as Jean-Paul Gauthier, Nikos, Nino Cerruti etc. And campaigns for "El Corte Inglés" , Macy' s, Nelsi Chelala and Joma..

He made press photos and posters for films like "Caravaggio", directed by Dereck Jarman; "La Copa Dorada",directed by James Ivory; "Amor de hombre", directed by Juan Luis Iborra and Yolanda Garcia Serrano; "Demasiado Corazón", directed by Eduardo Campoy; "Caótica Ana" directed by Julio Medem; "Loin", directed by André Téchiné; "El camino de los ingleses", directed by Antonio Banderas and "B.B. in Hollywood", directed by Bigas Luna.

In 2003 creates the poster of the 51th. edicción of the San Sebastian Film Festival, a tribute of the film of Victor Erice, "El espíritu de la colmena". Covers and books of Michael Winterbottom, André Téchiné for the Festival of Valladolid, David Cronenberg…

In the same year Sagrera TV (Spain) and Arte (Germany) companys produce a documentary of his work, called "Diario Intimo" which had a big succes in different film festivals. "Diario Intimo" has been spread in the televisions of all Europe and in format DVD distributed in the United States.

His work with the bests football players of the Spanish and European league "Diferente Usabiaga", which in 2007 has had a mediatic success. Players: David Beckham, Samuel Eto'o, David Villa, Pepe Reina, Alvaro Negredo, Fernando Llorente, Juan Mata, Aitor Ocio and more of the most sexy of them. Actually he's preparing a photography book of this exhibition.

Pedro Usabiaga's photos have been exhibited in different Europe's gallerys and museums, and at his 28 years in photogrephy he has a personal and unique style, which has made of him one of the most mediatic artist.
